Dr. Jacqueline Berens, DC
Dr. Jacqueline Berens, DC discovered her calling to chiropractic care at age fifteen through a personal healing journey. As a high-level gymnast sidelined by an elbow injury, she experienced firsthand the transformative power of chiropractic care when it returned her to competition in just two weeks after six months of unsuccessful traditional treatments. This pivotal moment sparked her lifelong commitment to natural, holistic healthcare.
A Colorado native, Dr. Jacqueline graduated with a Bachelor's in Integrative Physiology from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2008, followed by her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University in 2011, where she graduated Sum Cum Laude with top honors. Her pursuit of advanced solutions to complex health challenges was further inspired by her husband Paul's struggle with chronic sinus issues. This personal experience led her to Dr. Patrick Flynn and The Wellness Way approach, which not only resolved Paul's condition but also shaped her professional path.
As Head Doctor at The Wellness Way-Centennial, Colorado's first and longest-standing Wellness Way franchise, Dr. Jacqueline has spent over eight years helping patients restore their health through comprehensive testing and personalized care plans. Her expertise extends to complex health challenges, including hormone imbalances, infertility, menopause, thyroid conditions, gut issues, weight gain, autoimmune issues, cancer, and more.
Committed to continuous learning, Dr. Jacqueline recently completed the prestigious certification in The Metabolic Approach to Cancer from the Metabolic Terrain Institute of Health, studying
under world-renowned expert Dr. Nasha Winters, ND, FABNO. This advanced certification reflects her dedication to providing innovative solutions for complex health challenges.
When not transforming patients' lives, Dr. Jacqueline cherishes time with her husband Paul and their children, Odinn and Declann. Her love for adventure extends beyond the clinic, where she enjoys traveling, camping, and embracing life's fun moments.
At The Wellness Way-Centennial, Dr. Jacqueline combines her personal experience, professional expertise, and passionate commitment to help patients uncover the root factors affecting their health and restore their quality of life through natural, holistic approaches.
Dr. Jacqueline Berens, DC is a graduate of The Metabolic Approach to Cancer™ program.
The Metabolic Approach to Cancer™ focuses on understanding cancer as a systemic process, not just a tumor in isolation. Human cells depend on healthy mitochondrial function to produce energy, regulate repair, and maintain balance. When mitochondrial function is disrupted by poor diet, environmental toxins, chronic stress, and ongoing inflammation, cellular dysfunction can occur, increasing the risk of cancer development.
This approach prioritizes optimizing mitochondrial health and supporting the body’s innate ability to heal. By identifying the underlying factors driving the cancering process and addressing the biological terrain in which cancer develops, care is personalized to the individual’s metabolic and mitochondrial needs. The result is a comprehensive, integrative strategy that supports the body beyond symptom management and far beyond the tumor itself.
